Does Tiram handle GST and other tax systems?

GST is fully supported today — GSTIN format checks, HSN/SAC at line level, automatic CGST/SGST/IGST by place of supply, and a portal-ready GSTR-1 workbook. Per-item tax rates and your own units of measure are yours to set, so the same documents work under another regime.

What languages does Tiram support?

English and Tamil across the whole app. Each person picks their own language and text size from Settings → Appearance, per device, so one cashier scaling the type up doesn't change anyone else's screen.

What payment methods does Tiram support?

Cash, card, UPI, bank transfer, and credit. Save your business UPI ID once and it prints on the invoice and rides along in WhatsApp reminders; marking an invoice paid is one tap.

Can I print to a thermal printer?

Yes. Tiram supports browser printing for A4 invoices and ESC/POS thermal setup for 58 mm and 80 mm counter receipts, including Tamil-friendly raster printing where the printer supports it. A bill-format gallery lets you pick the template per size.

Every business is fully isolated — no shared rows, and every data endpoint is scoped to your organization. Only the people you add can see your books, one active session per account so a login can't be passed around the counters, and transport is TLS end to end.

Can multiple staff members use it?

Yes. Add staff with one of four ready-made roles — Admin, Sales, Operation, Viewer — or build a custom role with per-module permissions on Gold. You can create a teammate's account with a password yourself, so staff without email can still log in, and you can reset a locked-out member. A full audit trail of who changed what is included from Gold.

Can my CA log in without touching my billing?

Yes — add them as a Viewer and they can read every report without creating, editing or cancelling anything. On Gold you can cut a custom role that opens only the reports they need.

Can I switch from another tool?

Yes — bulk-import products, customers, and opening stock from a spreadsheet exported from Tally, Vyapar, KhataBook, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or anything else. Every import validates first and only commits once it's clean.

Does Tiram work without the internet?

Yes — a Windows and Mac app with its own bundled database, so the counter keeps billing through a power cut or a dead line. It backs itself up every day, restores from a backup in one click, and takes a backup before installing an update. Buy or renew the licence yourself online: paste the code the app shows you, pay by UPI or card, and the activation code appears on the spot.

Can I send invoices directly to customers on WhatsApp?

Yes — connect your own WhatsApp Business number once, then send any invoice as a PDF in one tap, with delivery and read receipts tracked per message. Included from the Gold plan.

Does Tiram have customer reward points or a loyalty program?

Yes — set earning and redemption rules once and Tiram tracks each customer's points balance alongside their invoices and payments; points redeem as a post-tax tender at the counter. Included from Gold.

Do WhatsApp reminders and campaigns cost extra?

Tiram charges nothing per message. Meta bills your business directly at its own conversation rates, and you set a spend ceiling by month, week or day — separately for bill notifications and marketing. Do I have to remember another password?

Not on the web app — sign in with a WhatsApp one-time code or with Google. Email and password still work if you prefer them.
